Bridge Energy completes exchange agreement with BP for Victoria and Vulcan East Fields

Bridge Energy has today announced that it has completed an Agreement with BP to exchange BP’s 25% equity interests in the producing Victoria gas field and the Vulcan East near term gas field development for Bridge Energy’s 50% interest in the Vanquish discovery. Bridge Energy will now hold 75% equity in Victoria and 100% in Vulcan East. Victoria is located in Licence P033 Block 49/17, Vulcan East is in Licence P039 Block 49/21 whilst Vanquish is located in Licence P033 Block 49/16. The deal has an effective date of 1st January 2009.
Einar Bandlien, Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Energy commented; “ The completion of this deal now consolidates our equity position in the producing Victoria gas field and in Vulcan East and allows us to control the pace of the Vulcan East development and to move the project forward with the intent to submit a Field Development Plan to DECC in the third quarter of 2010”.
